A Pain Resource You Have to Check Out

Beyond being a basic resource for patients with chronic pain, the National Foundation for the Treatment of Pain can help patients and docs determine ways to treat chronic pain within legal boundaries. People with chronic pain can even get a certificate to prove their need for pain meds.

Check out the Pain Management Table of Contents for a list of the organization’s awesome resources. It includes important considerations for treating chronic pain, pain treatment advocacy, and even migraine-specific information. Even the links to other information sources are great.

The site isn’t totally up-to-date — the “recent news” is the death of Christopher Reeve, but it is definitely worth checking out. (Besides, the Christopher Reeve Paralysis Foundation is one of the site’s sponsors.)
