Hi all,

My name is Dusty. I'm a 40 year old female. I've had migraines since my 13th birthday. They've gotten better and worse over the years. Now they are very consistent and I often end up in the ER or doctor's office to get a shot of phenergan and toradol which stops my migraine cycle. It often just makes me sleep which is good too. In addition, I've got Addison's Disease. My adrenals don't work and I supplement hydrocortisone and florinef to stay alive. If you want more info about me and Addison's, you can see my website at http://www.addisonssupport.com. I'm very healthy despite the Addison's, hypothyroid, and replacement of various other hormones (DHEA, progesterone). I like to run long distances and often a couple weeks after a very long run I end up in the hospital, with a migraine, throwing up, dehydrated and on morphine and zofran.

I have not explored this forum but I am looking forward to learning from everyone.

:) Dusty

Hello,

I usually end up with Toradol and Zofran at the ER but now Dilaudid has been added to the !@#$%&*. I used to just get Toradol and Zofran so that I could go back to work or drive myself home. Unfortunately, the pain has gotten so severe that it takes 2-3 mg of Dilaudid. That is a lot of pain medicine. My husband thinks that I have a problem if I need that much. He is an ER nurse so he sees what Dilaudid does to people. I am not afraid to admit that I need that pain medicine if I want to break my cluster of debilitating migraines. I usually get those every 2-3 weeks. They last about 3 days. The other days my migraines aren't as debilitating...just extremely annoying and frustrating.

I wish you luck in your exploration!
