I am 43 from New Delhi, India. I had meningitis when I was about 12 after that I had chronic migraines with aura, nausea, vomiting. Doctors told my parents not to put much academic stress on me but the Indian education system is driven by extreme competitiveness and I became used to living with regular migraines and painkillers.I got into the premier engineering institute and somehow learnt to meditate to music and the deep pleasure and silent zones that took me to helped me amazingly.I dropped out of engineering and started a life process which was more to do with what I enjoyed. From 19 to 38 I managed very low intensity of headaches. But suddenly I started getting regular headaches every alternative day, for two years I managed on paracetemols and caffiene. Then a blood test discovered hypothroid.I was told that many migraine patients become hypothyroid too.I was put on sibelieum 5 mg which worked brilliantly , but my headaches would begin if I would stop it. I carried it on for three years then went to an Ayurveda doctor (Indian tradition of medicine) which too worked within a month and I was off sibelieum, but I developed a rash to the Ayurvedic medicine,so I had to stop it.
